Sierra Darville brings passion, energy, and a deep commitment to athlete development to every practice and match. With two seasons of middle school volleyball coaching experience and a background in teaching at both the middle and high school levels, she knows how to connect with young athletes and help them reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Coming from a family of athletes—including a parent who competed at the Division I level—Sierra understands the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. She firmly believes that consistent effort is the key to success and expects her athletes to bring their best focus and attitude to every drill and game.
Beyond volleyball, Sierra has coached multiple sports and led summer sports camps and clinics, giving her a broad foundation in teaching fundamentals and fostering a genuine love for athletics. Now entering her first season as a club volleyball coach, she’s dedicated to building confident, skilled, and motivated players who love the game.
Coach Darville leads by example—never asking her athletes to do something she isn’t willing to do herself. Her hands-on approach emphasizes step-by-step instruction, precision, and purposeful practice, helping athletes perform with confidence, resilience, and enthusiasm.
Jolynn Desch is a USA Volleyball–certified coach entering her third season on the sidelines. A former public school teacher turned homeschooling mom and tutor, she brings both a teacher’s heart and an educator’s precision to every practice. Coach Jo has a true passion for helping players grow—whether they’re brand new to the sport or striving to compete at the highest level. She’s a stickler for proper form and technique, believing that strong fundamentals are essential for both performance and injury prevention
On and off the court, Coach Jo strives to lead by example, modeling Christian charity and creating a welcoming, inclusive team environment where every player feels valued and understands their role in building a true TEAM. She loves seeing young athletes develop confidence, character, and camaraderie through the game of volleyball. Coach Jo expects her players to embody kindness, respect, obedience, and commitment—values that extend beyond the court.
Jolynn is a proud mom of four and a former military spouse—now thrilled to have her husband home 365 days a year! She currently serves as PTO President at St. John the Evangelist School in Warrenton, where she continues to pour her energy into supporting youth and education. When she’s not coaching, you’ll find her cheering on her kids from the sidelines, teaching, tutoring, planning school events, or baking something delicious to share.
A.J. Eschle serves as the Volleyball Club Director at TruForm Athletics, where he leads with a heart for developing players both on and off the court. He has coached four seasons of volleyball, most recently as the head coach of a middle school girls’ volleyball team, and has also led four seasons of junior basketball.
A.J. is a USA Volleyball coach who is passionate about helping young athletes grow in both skill and character. His coaching philosophy centers on teamwork, integrity, and confidence.

“an excellent coach for the girls; leading them together as a team… encouraging them to be their best selves, training and playing in ways that honor the Lord.”
Beyond athletics, A.J. is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Principal at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA), serving the financial services industry for nearly two decades. He also sits on the Accounting Advisory Committee at George Mason University, where he provides professional insight to strengthen the university’s accounting program.
A.J. and his wife married in 2009, and have three children. Together, they share a deep commitment to faith, family, and community—values that shape both his coaching and leadership philosophy.
Nani Spaar is an accomplished volleyball athlete and coach whose career spans collegiate competition, international play, and championship-level coaching. She began her collegiate journey at Santa Clara University before continuing at George Mason University, where she further developed as a dynamic and reliable presence on the court.
Nani has also had the honor of representing Team Hawaii, competing internationally in the Philippines, Slovenia, and Croatia. Playing overseas allowed her to experience new volleyball systems, face high-level international competition, and gain a global perspective that now fuels her coaching philosophy.
Transitioning from player to coach, Nani has made a significant impact across multiple volleyball clubs, known for her energy, technical knowledge, and ability to elevate athletes at every level. A highlight of her coaching career includes being an integral part of the coaching staff that guided a club team to an AAU National Championship title, showcasing her ability to build team culture, develop individual talent, and guide athletes through the highest levels of youth competition.
Her passion lies in elevating athletes and building skills that not only enhance their performance on the court but also strengthen qualities that will serve them throughout life. She is recognized for her ability to connect with players, inspire confidence, and prepare athletes to succeed both athletically and personally.
Kimberly Stewart is a lifelong athlete, educator, and volleyball enthusiast who brings both experience and passion to the court. A standout middle hitter during her high school years, she went on to play collegiate volleyball at Mercyhurst University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree. Kimberly later completed her master’s degree at George Mason University and has built a rewarding career as an educator in Fairfax County Public Schools.
Before focusing on teaching and raising her two boys, Kimberly spent more than a decade coaching competitive volleyball. She served as the Varsity Head Volleyball Coach at Loch Raven High School in Baltimore County for seven seasons and later as an Assistant Coach at Patriot High School.
Her time as both a player and a coach has shaped a clear and consistent philosophy—master the fundamentals, build core skills, and play with purpose. Kimberly believes that true growth happens when athletes are challenged both mentally and physically. Her coaching emphasizes motivation through discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that lead to success on and off the court.
When she’s not in the classroom or the gym, Kimberly can often be found on the sidelines supporting her sons at their lacrosse games.
Alyssa is a senior at Gainesville High School. She began playing club volleyball in sixth grade and quickly fell in love with the sport. Over the next five years, she traveled across the country competing in numerous tournaments, including AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida. She primarily played middle blocker but also gained experience as a right-side hitter and outside hitter.
Alyssa has been a member of the Gainesville High School varsity volleyball team for three years. For the past few summers, she helped run the Gainesville High School volleyball camp alongside her teammates and played a key role in leading her team to the Regional Tournament during her junior and senior seasons. This year, she earned All-District First Team and All-Region Second Team honors.
Alyssa is thrilled to be working with the girls this season and is excited to see how much they grow and improve.
Ed Renken brings a lifelong passion for volleyball, coaching, and mentorship to the court. He was introduced to volleyball in 7th grade through his church youth group, where he joined the team and played for five years, laying the foundation for a long and meaningful connection to the sport.
Throughout his 20-year military career in the U.S. Army, Coach Ed continued to stay involved in volleyball by playing recreationally and remaining active in athletics and team leadership. After retiring from the Army in 2007, he deepened his involvement in the sport by serving as a volleyball official for over 10 years, refereeing matches from middle school through varsity high school levels, including tournaments and championship events.
As a coach, Ed has spent five years coaching with the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) in Sterling, Virginia, guiding his daughter’s teams and helping young athletes develop both skills and confidence. Beyond volleyball, he has coached his children in multiple sports over the years and continues to coach today, currently leading his youngest two in basketball.
Off the court, Coach Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Internetworking, a Master of Science in Information Technology Management, and is currently halfway through his Doctorate in Technology. His academic and professional background reflects his commitment to discipline, learning, and leadership — qualities he brings to every practice and match.
